Event details

THE 15th ANNUAL JENNY'S LIGHT 5k, 10k & KIDS 1k RUN - will be held VIRTUALLY on Mother's Day weekend!

**No registration needed!

We hope you can find a time to walk/jog/hike/run with your family and/or friends over Mother's Day weekend (this year, and every year going forward!) as a way of honoring mothers all over the world and remembering those who have become our angels in heaven.

May is 'Maternal Mental Health Awareness' Month and we hope that you will help us continue to shine a light on this subject, and encourage family and friends to be open & honest about how they feel and not be afraid to ask for support & help during those challenging postpartum months.

They are NOT alone.

FEB 2023:  It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce that we will no longer be able to host the Jenny's Light Run at Vasona Park. The beneficiary of our event, Supporting Mamas, is in the process of dissolving as a non-profit organization, after helping mothers and families in the Bay Area for an impressive 7 years.

Jenny’s Light was founded fifteen years ago following the death of Jenny and Graham on December 19, 2007. Our mission was to improve & save lives by increasing awareness of all perinatal mood disorders, including postpartum depression. In 2016 we merged our efforts and fundraising with San Francisco Bay Area based Supporting Mamas. They provided information, resources, support & hope to families coping with perinatal mood disorders.

It has been extremely rewarding to put on a running event that brought so many mothers, kids, families and people together to help shine a light on maternal mental health. THANK YOU ALL for your tremendous support over all of these years! The race would not have been as successful as it was for 14 years without all of our participants, supporters, sponsors & volunteers.

With love & light,

Becky Lavelle, Allyson Schaeffer & Cheryl Hart
