The inaugural Portland Sharkfest Swim will take place in the Willamette River, starting and finishing next to the Portland Fire & Rescue Station 21. The 1 mile swim will proceed downriver under the center span of the Morrison St. Bridge, continue towards the Burnside Bridge and return under the eastern span of the Morrison Bridge. Check-in will take place on the plaza area at the river end of SE Madison St. Water temperature is predicted to be in the high 60's. Northwest River Guides will provide water safety along the swim route. Spectators will be able to view the swim from the Eastbank Esplanade. Awards ceremony will be held in the plaza area.

PLEASE NOTE: This swim is not for novices. This event is for experienced open-water swimmers only. You should be able to swim one mile comfortably in a pool in under 40 minutes.
