Get ready to take to your favorite running or walking trail and raise money for Pets Are Loving Support! The PALS Furry 5K is a virtual run/walk, so you can complete it any time you want, anywhere you want! Pick your location, complete your run or walk, and enter your time. At the end of the event window, PALS will publish all of the run/walk times so you can see how you did compared to other participants.

The money raised by this virtual event helps PALS provide food and basic veterinary care for the pets of their clients. PALS works with Atlanta residents who are low income and are elderly, living with a disability, or living with a critical illness (like HIV/AIDS or cancer). None of PALS clients would be able to keep their pets without PALS assistance. 

Founded in 1990, PALS has been hit hard by COVID-19 because the organization's monthly drag queen bingo fundraisers were not able to be held for most of 2021. In addition to the decline in income from bingo fundraisers, PALS experienced an increase in expenses as donations of pet food from manufacturers slowed. As a result, the organization had to purchase food for pets and pay for shipping since PALS clients fall into high-risk categories for complications from COVID-19.

Thanks to sound organizational financial practices, PALS never implemented a waitlist for new clients, nor did they reduce services to their existing clients. By participating in the Furry 5K, you are helping PALS continue their mission of helping some of Atlanta's most fragile citizens keep their best friends, their pets.

Registration is $35.00/participant, which includes a race t-shirt. Shipping and handling fees for the shirts are $7.00/shirt.

For corporations/organizations with groups of 10 or more participants

This event is a low-cost opportunity for your employees to form bonds while engaging in a healthy outdoor activity! If you have over 10 registrants, we will cover the cost of imprinting your logo on the back of each shirt.  Registration is $35.00/participant, which includes a race t-shirt. Shipping and handling fees for the shirts are $7.00/shirt.
