2024 Bookish 5K & Cookie Fun Run (The Year of the Cupcake)

The Waterloo Library & Historical Society presents the 2024 Bookish 5k & the Cookie Fun Run (The Year of the Cupcake)!

If you give a human a cookie, they will probably eat it. When they eat it, they will probably feel guilty. But if they do this fun-run they can have their cookies and eat it too!

This family friendly race, originally inspired by Laura Numeroff's "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie", will tickle your taste buds AND benefit the Waterloo Library & Historical Society. This year we will be eating CUPCAKES!

NEW! This year we are introducing a 5K to our event, but don't worry, you don't have to eat them along your run. We'll have some ready for when you are done!

If you are participating in our original 1 mile event there will be 4 Cupcakes in total so bring your appetite and running shoes to race 1 mile around the Library area of Waterloo. 

Participants will receive a Book or Cupcake themed medal and registrations under 5 will receive their own copy of this years book. 

Entry fees: 
5K walk/run:$35
Cookie Run: $15
Children under 5: Free 

*In the event of a cancellation, there will be no refunds; your entry fee will be used as a donation to the Waterloo Library & Historical Society.
