You won’t want to miss the 2023 Hit the Brixx 10K/5K, Double Dare (run both 10K/5K), and Kids kilometer presented by Novant Health, on Saturday, May 20. Yes -- We’re in a new month! Yes – FINISHER MEDALS are BACK, and participant tee! And, YES!! There’s Brixx pizza and beer at the finish!
Proceeds from this event benefit the Kid’s Path program at Hospice & Palliative Care, Charlotte Region. The Hit the Brixx 10K/5K presented by Novant Health is part of the 2023 RunCharlotte Six Pack series of events.

Event Start Times:
The 2023 Hit the Brixx 10K/5K presented by Novant Health starts and finishes at the Blakeney Shopping Center in Charlotte, North Carolina on Saturday, May 20.
7:30 AM – 5K start time
8:20 AM – 10K start time
7:30 AM - Double Dare start time
10 AM – Kids’ 1 kilometer start time

Where: All three Run For Your Life locations, FRIDAY ONLY!:
Race morning starting at 7am!
Timing and Scoring:
As always, timing and scoring services are provided by RunCharlotte, the Queen City’s premier event planning, production, and promotion service since 1995. This event will be chip timed, and all participant results are based on the time the individual runner crosses the start and finish lines, respectively. Results will be available on the event registration website, and at www.runcharlotte.com/race-results/
Bag Check:
There is no bag check service for this event.
Event T-Shirts:
Register now to guarantee your shirt size! Every participant will receive a short-sleeve CRAFT Brand shirt while supplies last. Shirts are ordered based on the sizes indicated during online registration. NO SWITCHING SIZES – NO EXCEPTIONS! You may switch sizes AFTER the race if we have leftover shirts. Kids Kilometer shirts are 100% cotton.
Awards & Age Group Divisions:
Age group and overall winners will be recognized at the post-event awards ceremony, to be held approximately 30 minutes after the first finisher. Please note, we do not ship unclaimed awards.
Overall, Masters, 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+.
Refunds and Transfers:
Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
10K Time Limit:
1 Hour 30 Minutes
Dogs:
Hey, we love us some dogs, too. However, for the safety of everyone participating, dogs are not allowed on the course.
Strollers or Baby Joggers:
Bring ‘em! We appreciate you exposing the next generation of runners to the race day experience. All baby jogger pushers will start with everyone else. Please note, there is no awards category for strollers or baby joggers.
Medical Emergencies and First Aid:
Medical services at the start/finish line are provided by our partners at Novant Health. Should you experience an on-course emergency, alert an event volunteer and call 9-1-1.
Water Stops and Porta-Potties:
Porta-Potties will also be available at the start/finish area.
Inclement Weather Policy:
Events will be held rain or shine unless RunCharlotte in conjunction with our public safety and medical partners determine that conditions are unsafe. Cancellation due to inclement weather will not constitute a refund or transfer. Consistent with USA Track & Field protocols, RunCharlotte reserves the right to alter, cancel, or eliminate any or all portions of this event.
