This race will make donations annually to the charity of choice decided by families of Digits (Dianne Wells) and Needle (Edy Pearson). The proceeds for the 2025 race will go to Coach Bart Owens and his family. #battleforbart

The name Be the Buffalo comes from a story about how buffalo run toward the storm which minimizes the amount of pain they experience from the storm versus the cow who runs with the storm which prolongs their pain. Through our loss of loss of these 2 amazing ladies we have weathered the storm as Buffalo and continue to honor their memory by holding this race annually around their birthdays.
